New Delhi won the right to host the 2010 Commonwealth Games. The city of New Delhi, with a population of 14 million, will be host Commonwealth Games 2010. The Games are scheduled to be held in between 3 October and 14 October 2010. This will be the largest multi-sport event first time India, will host the Commonwealth Games and the second time in Asia.
